RIPPA loader comparison: R10 vs R13 PRO vs R18 PRO vs R22 PRO vs RS

When someone starts looking at RIPPA machinery, the same question appears very quickly: which model should you choose?

The R10 looks attractive because of its price and compact size. The R13 PRO offers more weight, a Kubota engine and greater digging depth. The R18 PRO is built for more serious construction work. The R22 PRO moves into a higher class with strong hydraulics and an enclosed cab. The RS loaders solve a different problem: they are not designed for digging, but for loading, carrying, pushing and everyday site maintenance.

That is why the first question is not which model is best. Best for what? Trenches, foundations, drainage, yard base preparation, gravel loading, farm work, construction sites or private property maintenance?

Each model has its place, and the wrong machine shows its limits very quickly on site.

At JEKPO, machinery is selected based on the work. First, it is important to understand what the machine will be doing most of the time, what type of ground you work on, how much access space there is, whether you will operate it yourself or an employee will use it, which attachments are needed and whether the machine will work once a month or every day.

Once these answers are clear, it becomes much easier to choose between the R10, R13 PRO, R18 PRO, R22 PRO, RS04, RS06 PRO and RS07.

RIPPA R10: for tight yards, drainage and smaller digging jobs

The RIPPA R10 is the smallest and simplest option in this range. It weighs 978 kg, measures 2430 x 912 x 2201 mm, has a digging depth of 1833 mm, hydraulic flow of 18 L/min and an 8.2 kW YOOP diesel engine.

It is a compact mini excavator for users who need to access limited spaces and complete specific digging work without bringing in larger machinery.

The R10 is worth choosing when the work takes place on a private property, in a small yard, near a house, next to a fence, in a narrow access point or anywhere larger machinery simply does not fit.

It is suitable for drainage, small trenches, service connections, ground shaping, yard base preparation and other jobs where manoeuvrability matters most.

The R10 comes with expanding tracks, a swing boom, joystick controls, hidden hydraulic motors, a hydraulic bucket thumb and a mechanical quick hitch. In real work, this matters because in tight areas you need to dig, turn comfortably, reach to the side, stabilise the machine and change attachments faster.

The R10 is not the model for someone planning to dig heavy ground every day throughout the season. But if you need to handle property, yard, drainage or smaller construction tasks yourself, it can quickly replace the shovel, rental delays and waiting time.

RIPPA R13 PRO: more stability, Kubota engine and stronger performance for smaller sites

The RIPPA R13 PRO is a more serious step up. It weighs 1300 kg, has a digging depth of 2100 mm, a 400 mm bucket width, 0.03 m³ bucket capacity, dimensions of 2550 x 1100 x 2300 mm and a Kubota D722 3-cylinder 10.3 kW diesel engine. Hydraulic flow is 23 L/min.

The R13 PRO makes sense when the R10 feels too small, but you do not yet need the largest model in the range.

It suits small contractors, landscaping work, cable installation, foundation preparation on smaller sites, trenching, drainage, root removal and jobs where stability and precise control matter.

A major advantage of the R13 PRO is the Kubota D722 engine. People who use machinery more often quickly stop looking only at price. They start looking at the engine, fuel consumption, reliability and how the machine handles more intensive work.

This is exactly where the R13 PRO becomes a logical choice for users who want more confidence than an entry-level model can offer.

The R13 PRO includes joystick controls, expandable tracks, swing boom mechanism, hidden hydraulic motors, hydraulic bucket thumb and hydraulic quick hitch. This allows faster, more stable and more comfortable work, especially when you need to change working position or attachments several times per day.

If your jobs will repeat often and include foundations, trenches, connections, ground shaping and work on smaller sites, the R13 PRO is a strong mid-range choice.

RIPPA R18 PRO: more power, productivity and working pace for construction sites

The RIPPA R18 PRO is designed for users who need a higher working pace. It weighs 1806 kg, has a digging depth of 2420 mm, 0.07 m³ bucket capacity, a Kubota D902 3-cylinder 15 kW diesel engine and hydraulic flow of 28 L/min. Dimensions are 2527 x 1092 x 2349 mm.

The R18 PRO is worth choosing when the work is more demanding, the ground is heavier, the sites are larger or the machine will be used more frequently.

Here, we are no longer talking only about private property work. This model suits construction sites, utility work, landscaping, heavier digging, attachment use and situations where a smaller model would be too slow.

The R18 PRO includes a Kubota D902 engine, joystick controls, expandable tracks, swing boom, hidden hydraulic motors, hydraulic bucket thumb, hydraulic quick hitch and LED display.

This specification matters not because of the list itself, but because operators need stability, clear control, faster work and the ability to use different attachments on site.

The R18 PRO is logical for those who already understand that the smallest model does not always save money. If the machine is too light, the job moves slower. If it lacks power, digging takes longer. If it lacks stability, the operator works more cautiously.

The R18 PRO solves this by offering more weight, more power and more working reserve.

If the machine needs to help finish projects faster, reduce dependence on rentals and work more than just at weekends, the R18 PRO is one of the most logical models for serious work.

RIPPA R22 PRO: higher class, enclosed cab and strong hydraulic reserve

The RIPPA R22 PRO is the strongest model in this comparison. It weighs 2371 kg and is powered by a Kubota D1105 3-cylinder 18.2 kW diesel engine. Hydraulic flow is 67.2 L/min, digging depth is 2293 mm and dimensions are 2824 x 1300 x 2361 mm.

The model includes an enclosed cab, air conditioning, LED display, joystick controls, expandable tracks, swing boom, hydraulic bucket thumb and hydraulic quick hitch.

The R22 PRO is worth choosing when the machine needs to work longer, harder and with more comfort for the operator.

The value of an enclosed cab becomes clear when the job lasts more than half an hour. Long working days, dust, wind, rain, cold, heat and operator fatigue quickly show that comfort is not a luxury. Comfort means less fatigue and more stable work throughout the day.

The 67.2 L/min hydraulic flow is one of the strongest points of the R22 PRO. If you plan to use attachments, work under higher load, keep more reserve and avoid pushing the machine to its limit all the time, the R22 PRO becomes a clear choice.

The R22 PRO suits professional contractors, utility work, farms, more difficult conditions and users who want more power, more control and more working safety.

This is a model for people who are no longer testing whether mini machinery can help. They already know it can. They simply want it to work seriously.

RIPPA RS04, RS06 PRO and RS07: for loading, carrying and site maintenance

RIPPA RS loaders serve a completely different purpose than the R10, R13 PRO, R18 PRO and R22 PRO excavators.

An excavator digs. A loader loads, carries, pushes, spreads and maintains the site.

If most of your work involves gravel, soil, construction materials, firewood, fertiliser, branches, snow or yard maintenance, a loader will often be a more logical choice than an excavator.

RIPPA RS04: compact loader for tight access and lighter ground

The RS04 is a compact tracked mini loader for users who need manoeuvrability and low ground pressure.

It has an operating weight of 890 kg, a Kubota Z482 9.8 kW engine, fuel consumption of around 0.8 to 1.2 L per engine hour, 0.15 m³ bucket capacity, maximum lifting capacity of 400 kg, lifting height of 2080 mm, hydraulic flow of 36 L/min and dimensions of 1970 x 1150 x 1300 mm.

It is a good choice for private properties, small yards, work on grass, soil or softer surfaces where the priority is not to damage the ground, but to quickly move, load or push materials.

The value of the RS04 is its compact size. When you need to load firewood, branches, gravel, soil, snow or smaller materials in places where a larger loader would be too bulky, the RS04 allows one person to do more without a wheelbarrow or extra labour.

It is not the heaviest class of loader, but it is very strong where flexibility, lower weight and quick movement in tight spaces matter.

RIPPA RS06 PRO: stronger daily-use loader for serious material handling

The RS06 PRO is a stronger loader for everyday work. It has a Kubota D1105 18.4 kW diesel engine, operating weight of 1201 kg, lifting capacity up to 650 kg, hydraulic flow of 63 L/min, closed-type hydraulic system, mechanical quick hitch for attachments and a bucket with reinforced edge and teeth.

This model is built for more serious loading, ground levelling, snow clearing, construction material transport and daily site maintenance.

The value of the RS06 PRO is very clear. It is designed for situations where materials need to be moved often, not once per season.

The 650 kg lifting capacity and 63 L/min hydraulic flow allow work with heavier loads and attachments.

If you regularly need to load, carry, push or spread materials on a farm, construction site or private property, the RS06 PRO is the model that starts saving hours, physical effort and labour.

RIPPA RS07: seated skid steer loader for longer shifts and operator comfort

The RS07 is a seated skid steer type mini loader for users who need not only performance, but also operator comfort during longer shifts.

It has a Kubota D1105 18.4 kW engine, operating weight of around 1200 kg, lifting capacity of 650 kg, closed-type hydraulic pump, pilot multi-way valve control, high-strength steel bucket, cushioned seat, improved sound insulation and a quick attachment system.

The RS07 is worth choosing when the loader will work longer, more often and the operator will spend more time seated in the machine.

This is relevant for utility work, farming, construction and landscaping, where you need not only to lift and move materials, but to work steadily throughout the day.

If the RS04 is a compact helper and the RS06 PRO is a strong daily working loader, the RS07 adds more comfort, stability and easier control.

When should you choose an excavator and when should you choose a loader?

If the main work is digging, foundations, trenches, drainage, ground shaping or work near buildings, choose a RIPPA R series excavator.

The R10 is suitable for narrow access and smaller jobs. The R13 PRO gives more stability and a Kubota engine for more frequent work. The R18 PRO is built for stronger digging and higher working pace. The R22 PRO is worth choosing when you need more power, an enclosed cab, operator comfort and strong hydraulic reserve.

If most of the work involves loading, carrying, pushing, clearing, spreading materials or maintaining a site, look at the RIPPA RS loaders.

The RS04 suits compact jobs and softer ground. The RS06 PRO is a stronger daily loading solution with 650 kg lifting capacity and 63 L/min hydraulic flow. The RS07 is suitable for longer work where seated operation, stability and operator comfort matter.

The most common mistake is choosing an excavator when most of the work will be loading, or choosing a loader when the main jobs are trenches, foundations and drainage.

That is why it is worth knowing clearly what the machine will do most often.
